IntroductionI recently got myself a RCM3200 development system. Which consists of one RCM3200 module and a development board which has a number of peripherals mounted on it. The module itself is based around the Rabbit 3000 processor, which is basically an enhanced Z80 microprocessor. Included on the module is RAM and Flash memory and an Ethernet controller. You can find out more about this module, and others from Rabbit Semiconductor. Listed on their site are a number of distributors located around the globe. I got mine from 2001 Electronic Components Ltd. Having got the module, I quickly got to grips with it and started working on an MP3 player, which was the whole reason I bought it. One thing I found early on was that the development board was getting in the way. A number of ports were unusable because they were connected to some peripherals on the development board. While it is true to say that I could plug the module into the second site on the dev board, I decided that was too easy and set about designing a breakout board. I don't claim that anything here is rocket science, but you might find it useful. With each project I put on here I will be listing suppliers for all the components, and instructions for building them. ProjectsRabbit RCM3200 Based Projects
