Windows 95 SMS Sender

Send-It 95 is now available for download in beta form. Go to download page.

Send-It 95 is a simple to use Windows 95 program for sending SMS messages. Work is still in progress, but here are some screen shots from V1.0 Beta 2

Send-It 95 is an evolution of the original Send-It program. I have attempted to add in suggestions made by Send-It users. I have kept Send-It 95 simple and quick to use. In fact, by rearranging the user interface, Send-It 95 is even simpler to use, yet provides more features.

The Message Centre

Most time will be spend in the Message Centre shown above. From here messages are written, queued and sent. The destination for a message may be a mobile phone number or an address book entry, Send-It 95 will automaticaly search the address book using a smart search method which provides quick accurate matching of partial names.

Sent Messages

Once a message has been sent, it will appear in the Sent Messages area, where it is marked with the date and time it was sent. From here the message may be requeued if required.

Service Information

Services may be added to Send-It 95 in the same way as they were in the original Send-It. Send-It 95 can use the dial codes provided to decide how to send a message, or the user can force a particular service to be used. This has been added to allow Send-It 95 to work with the new UK regulations that allow mobile phone numbers to be transfered between service providers.

Phone Book

Here it is, the most requested feature. The phone book allows you to enter someones name rather than their mobile number. But, it is still possible to send messages without having an entry in the phone book.

About

Various options are set here, in the System tab. These include delete and move confirmations as well as logging settings.

About

Just incase you forget which program you are running, you can find out from the About screen. Also given here is the email and WEB address for support and suggestions.
