Description

SetiRankGraph is a Perl script that will grab your stats from the Seti web site and record them into a database using RRDTool. It will then draw three graphs of you rank, over the last week, month and year. To be able to use this script, you must be able to run Perl scripts, and have the XML::Simple, URI:URL, LWP:UserAgent and RRDs modules installed.

Installing

Download the Perl script and put it somewhere it can be executed from.

Having located the file, you MUST edit it. You must replace the locations for the database files, and the output graph files.

Using SetiRankGraph

The intention is that SetiRankGraph is executed once a day, your system should be configured to do this. Only one command-line parameter is required, and that is email=you@provider, this is your Seti registered Email. Once executed the three graphs will be created and stored in the location you have specified. If you wish to display your graphs on a web site, you will need to create an HTML page to do this, like this one. If your web server is not local, then you will need to add a script to upload the graphs.
